Engine bay made " correct" L-79

Legg inn av Jack Panzica » fre apr 06, 2012 02:31

I just got my air cleaner back from metal finisher. He did what he could to get it into shape. 46 years of driving took its toll.

It is re-chromed ,but the pitting was so deep he could not get it all out. Just the same, it is the cover that the car was born with. He was able to save the silk screen on the underside.

No over spray, but I think it is mechanically correct now. Here are some pictures.

Nice :D

When all parts are original the signs of some elderness
is part of the charm.

Look forward to follow you on your trip.

How did you manage to keep the silk screening when you rechromed the lid Jack?
